Leaked Marner picture gets crazy trade rumour going!

At the same time as the Toronto Maple Leafs were announcing that they had extended qualifying offers to four restricted free agents, including Mitch Marner, the young forward took a picture that got a lot of people talking. 

Progress in contract negotiations seems to be slower with Marner who is expected to command a salary similar to teammate Auston Matthews. As we know, Marner could meet with other teams with the purpose of signing offer sheets. Teams have seven days to match offer sheets handed to an RFA. The compensation going to the club losing a player varies depending on the annual average value of the contract, but the Leafs would receive four first-round picks if Marner's signs for north of $10.568 million US annually.

While the Leafs are dealing with all this madness, Marner got people talking by taking a picture with Montreal Canadiens forward Max Domi, who is laughing a new book and took the time to spend some time with Marner. 

As soon as Domi posted the picture on social media, fans and pundits didn’t waste time hinting at the possibility of Marner joining Domi in Montreal in a crazy trade rumour. 

You know trade rumours and chatter is only going to get more intense and crazy until we know what the Leafs will manage to do with Marner. 

But this one will surely get Leafs fans in a rage!
