The Vancouver Canucks earned a 3-2 overtime victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs last night, however, some fans earned the title of "disgraceful" right out of the gate.

According to Toronto Star sports columnist Bruce Arthur, the Canucks attempted to hold a moment of silence in tribute to Ted Lindsay, the Hockey Hall of Famer and four-time Stanley Cup champion with the Detroit Red Wings, who died on Monday at age 93. However, fans ruined the moment in Vancouver and made the special moment "honestly disgraceful."

Almost every single team in the NHL took the time to honour Lindsay before the start of their respective game throughout the week, however, Canucks and Maple Leafs fans ruined it in Vancouver last night.

"In Calgary, the moment of silence for Ted Lindsay was utterly silent. In Vancouver it quickly became a shouting match between Leafs fans shouting Go Leafs Go and Canucks fans yelling at them to shut up, and it went from there. That was honestly disgraceful," noted Arthur on social media at the start of the contest.

You can see for yourself, this is pretty brutal.

On Thursday morning, it was reported that Metro Media also called out fans in the paper, calling their actions unacceptable.

Come on people, grow up.
