The Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs will renew their rivalry for the very first time in the 2019 - 2020 National Hockey League regular season on Saturday night and it appears as though both teams will be bringing in their big guns, at least for the most part.

For the Montreal Canadiens things will be status quo according to Chantal Machabee of RDS. Machabee is reporting that the Habs will be maintaining the same line up which breaks down as follows

Forwards:

Tatar-Danault-Gallagher;
Lehkonen-Domi-Suzuki;
Drouin-Kotkaniemi-Armia;
Byron-Thompson-Weal.

Defensemen:

Mete-Weber;
Chiarot-Petry;
Kulak-Fleury;

Goalie:

Price.

That effectively means no surprises on the part of the Montreal Canadiens and you could say largely the same thing for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Although the Maple Leafs have made significantly more changes that the Habs have, the players who will be sitting out tonight are starting to look more like roleplayers for the Maple Leafs rather than your consistent everyday NHL player.

According to Jonas Siegel of The Athletic the Maple Leafs will be making 3 changes to their line up tonight with Nick Shore, Martin Marincin and Dmytro Timashov all stepping into the line up to replace veteran forward Jason Spezza, Nic Petan, and Justin Holl. Here is how the line up would break down with those changes in mind:

Forwards:

Johnsson-Matthews-Nylander
Kapanen-Tavares-Marner
Mikheyev-Kerfoot-Moore
Timashov-Shore-Gauthier

Defensemen:

Rielly-Ceci
Muzzin-Barrie
Sandin-Marincin

Additionally there will be one other change from the Maple Leafs in regards to the line up this evening. Goaltender Frederik Andersen will not starts tonight contest and instead the Leafs will lean on backup Michael Hutchinson and hope he can give them a break,
