Leafs GM Dubas posts confusing tweet and insider Pierre LeBrun mocks him brilliantly!

The Leafs need to get ready for the playoffs but we don’t know what to make of this approach…

As one of the youngest general managers in the NHL, Toronto Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas is quite active on social media and follows the news feed from his phone. On Monday, he posted quite a confusing emoji on Twitter as Houston Rockets general manager published an editorial cartoon on his personal account.

In his retweet, Dubas placed a check mark to the photo, indicating to Leafs fans that the editorial cartoon reflect the Leafs’ approach to fixing the issues ahead of the postseason. He made fans and pundits quite confused…

While no one has an answer to what Dubas meant by his post, NHL insider Pierre LeBrun got many fans laughing when he took the time to reply to the Maple Leafs GM.

LeBrun answered: A little thin on the right side… with a funny emoji to show he was teasing Dubas.

Recently, the Leafs have struggled to fill the void left by the injuries to puck-moving defensemen Travis Dermott (shoulder) and Jake Gardiner (back). Both have been out since late February.

This past week was one of the worst the Maple Leafs have experienced all season long: they bookended last week with four-goal losses to the NHL’s best team the Tampa Bay Lightning and its worst Ottawa Senators, while going a collective 1-3-0 and allowing 23 goals against.

Do you know what Dubas meant? Tell us what you think this means for Toronto…
