Leafs lose Nick Shore on waivers

This just in, the Winnipeg Jets have claimed forward Nick Shore off waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Shore was put on waivers yesterday afternoon with the hopes that he’d clear and could be assigned to the AHL’s Toronto Marlies, but clearly that’s not the case now. In fact, NHL insider Chris Johnston reports that several teams put in a claim on Shore.

The 27 year old Shore has played 21 games for the Leafs this season, putting up two goals and three points. While it won’t be confirmed by the team until game time, it appears as though Mitch Marner may be ready to return to the lineup.
