We know, we know, the 2017-18 season is just getting started, but the undefeated Toronto Maple Leafs are impressive with one of the most explosive starts in franchise history.

Get this: the Leafs have scored a remarkable 19 goals through three games. In Leafs history, only the 1917-18 Toronto Arenas, who recorded 27 goals in their first three contests, have gotten off to a better offensive start.

Back in 1917-18, there was an average of 9.5 goals per game. So far this season, Hockey Reference has noted that there has been an average of 6.46 goals per game.

And the most exciting thing about this is that the 1917-18 Toronto Arenas went on to win the Stanley Cup!
