Leafs' prospect commits horrendous mistake on empty-net breakaway.

We may have already witnessed the worst missed opportunity of the year.

It occurred during Champions Hockey League action on Friday night when Frolunda took on Germany's Grizzlys Wolfsburg, with Frolunda leading the game 2-1. Frolunda forward Carl Grundstrom attempted to give his team an insurance goal on a clearcut breakaway, with the Grizzlys goaltender pulled.

The 2016 second-round pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs has the puck bounce on his stick right in front of the open net and winds up ringing the puck off the post.

Luckily for him, Frolunda went on to win the game 2-1, otherwise it might have been a tough play to forget for the young Swede.
