With the addition of Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner, the Leafs became a powerhouse overnight. Other youngsters joined the lineup and are contributing to this year's interesting result. The team is getting close to a playoff spot and after that, who knows what could happen.

However, the rookies also tied a franchise record dating back to the 1943-44 season

Needless to say, the record will surely be broken this year. With 12 games remaining, this pace would technically bring the rookies to a total of 120 goals.

Exciting stuff coming out of Toronto this year!
