Everyone uses the TTC in Toronto.

And that includes the Toronto Maple Leafs. The players and coaches were scheduled to make their appearance at Nathan Phillips Square on Thursday for their annual outdoor practice, and they rode the subway to make it there.

As you can see in the videos below, the Maple Leafs were spotted in full gear, trying to head from Scotiabank Arena to the Queen Street rink as they decided to take public transit to their destination. The full team was shown heading into Union Station, and getting off at Queen to get to practice.

The players mingled with others travelling and handing out hats and shirts on the subway before getting off to make it to practice.

We bet Auston Matthews, who just signed a lucrative five-year contract extension on Tuesday, won't be taking the subway quite often after this, but it sure was special for fans to see him and the rest of the Leafs out there on the TTC.

Several fans were present at Nathan Phillips Square to see the Maple Leafs in action. Who knows, they might hitch a ride back on the subway with tons of excited fans.

Just a casual day in Toronto...
