According to an unverified, unsubstantiated post on Twitter by an Ottawa Senators fan account, at least one NHL team is making a logo change for the 2019-20 season.

According to the @SensCentral Account, this is a leaked image of team logos for next season:

You’ll notice that the usual “3D” version of the Senators’ logo is missing and that the team’s older “2D” version is in use.

The team’s current logo, of course, appears like this:

This new/old logo harkens back to the team’s original logo and jersey design like this:

Truth be told… it’s an improvement but a lot of Sens fans were holding out hope for the “O” third jerseys that are so popular:

In any case, it appears that no other teams will be revising their logos for the upcoming season, which is surprising. Several media analysts had speculated that the Vancouver Canucks were planning a change for their 50th anniversary season, perhaps dropping the “VANCOUVER” from their logo. Based off this image though, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
