Lebrun: Top4 defenseman added to the rumour mill!

The Calgary Flames are at the center of a ton of rumours. They're having a terrible season and losing Johnny Gaudreau for a month might very well be the coup de grâce . The Flames are expected to be sellers when the trade deadline comes and Dougie Hamilton is a name that's been added to the rumour mill recently.

According to ESPN Pierre Lebrun, Brad Treliving might be tempted to trade another of his blueliner. Dennis Wideman, a right-handed defenseman who's contract ends this season could be the target of many teams, especially Stanley Cup contenders. "The 33-year-old veteran is an unrestricted free agent July 1 and given all the money tied up on the Flames' blue-line, it seems unlikely they re-sign Wideman" said Lebrun.

Wideman averages more than 21 minutes per game and can play on the power-play. He has 2 goals and 4 assists in 16 games this season.
