Lightning make history and break Stanley Cup presentation tradition

The Tampa Bay Lightning are 2019-20 Stanley Cup champions and given the weird, wild postseason that we've all been treated to it only makes sense that the Lightning would break with tradition for the Stanley Cup presentation ceremony.

Typically NHL commissioner Gary Bettman would present the Stanley Cup to the winning team's captain, in this case Steven Stamkos. But this time around the Lightning elected to surround the trophy as a team before Bettman officially gave Stamkos the go ahead to hoist the chalice.
