Lightning throw social distancing out the window in Stanley Cup celebration with fans

Only in Florida. Literally.

In case you missed it yesterday, the Tampa Bay Lightning held their Stanley Cup boat parade and... well let's just say that the boys are likely feeling the effects today.

I mean... just check out some of these clips:

Officially the Lightning organization requested that fans wear face coverings and practice social distancing but... let's get real... that didn't happen. Fans literally piled on top of each other to get close to the Stanley Cup and Lightning players seemed to have no issue getting up close and personal with fans.

I mean... just check out this clip of Alex Killorn and Nikita Kucherov serving up drinks out of the Cup:

What can I say? The fans love Killorn and Kucherov.

I don't wish ill on anyone, but I'm willing to bet that a large number of these people are going to be "under the weather" in about 12-14 days.

It's worth noting that as of today, October 1st, the state of Florida has removed any and all restrictions when it comes to coronovirus or COVID-19. No masks, no social distancing, no nothing. Oh... this is also the state that hasn't had fewer than 1,000 new cases recorded daily in literally months. In effect it's a petri dish of coronavirus.
