Coach Quenneville experiencing new lines

Coming off a closely fought 3-2 loss to the Boston Bruins on Sunday afternoon, it appears as though the Chicago Blackhawks will turn to back up goaltender Scott Darling as they take on the lowly Colorado Avalanche tonight in Denver.

Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago speculated that because of Darling’s extra workload in today’s morning skate, he’ll get the nod against the Avalanche.

As for the rest of the Hawks, it’s expected that Jonathan Toews will continue to center Nick Schmaltz and Richard Panik, while rookie Tanner Kero gets a shot between superstars Patrick Kane and Artemi Panarin. Filling out the rest of the forward lines will be Ryan Hartman, Markus Kruger, Marian Hossa, Tomas Jurco, Andrew Desjardins and Vinnie Hinostroza.

The Avalanche, who are the worst team in the NHL in nearly every statistical category, shouldn’t provide too much of an obstacle for the Hawks who are looking to perfect their game in advance of the NHL’s Stanley Cup playoffs.
