Long-time NHL journeyman announces his retirement Monday.

A former long-time National Hockey League journeyman is officially stepping away from the game of hockey.

In an announcement that came directly from the player himself, former Los Angeles King, New York Islander, Edmonton Oiler, Washington Capital, Calgary Flame, Vancouver Canuck and Anaheim Duck Josh Green has revealed his career is over.

The veteran of over 300 NHL games has been out of the league for since the 2011-2012 season when he last played for the Oilers, but he continued his professional career first in the American Hockey League and eventually in Europe before playing in his final season for KooKoo Kouvola of the SM-liiga this season.

Green's career ends with a total of 36 goals and 40 assists for 76 points in 341 career NHL games.
