Long time veteran officially announces his retirement on Thursday.

After spending 15 years as a member of the National Hockey League, veteran forward Brenden Morrow has officially announced his retirement. Morrow alongside the Dallas Stars officially announced his retirement today during a press conference where Morrow signed a new deal with the team in order to retire with the club he captained for so many years.

It was a joyous event for Morrow who appeared to be filled with nothing but positive emotions as he went through the motions of the press conference, his smile never truly leaving his face, a sign that he is at peace with his decision. Morrow had not played in the National Hockey League this season, having least spent time in the league as a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2014-2015 campaign.

Morrow's career ends just nine games short of the one-thousand mile stone with 991, and he has 265 goals and 310 assists to his credit over that stretch. He will be best remembered for his time with the Dallas Stars in the NHL, as well as for the great success he achieved at the international level and in junior.

We wish Morrow nothing but the best on his future endeavours.
