He was flattering.

Milan Lucic was a Boston Bruins for eight seasons before being traded to the L.A. Kings. He stayed for a year and ended up in Edmonton, where he plays a huge role for the team now. Today, he threw some flowers to Claude Julien, his former coach and now leader of the Montreal Canadiens

Watch the video here.

He was a huge influence on my career. I can say that I wouldn’t be the player that I am today or in the position that I am today if it wasn’t for him embracing me and believing me, especially as a 19-year-old, to believe that I could be the player that I could be. So I have a lot to thank him for, for what he did in my career.”

It's pretty peculiar to see a alumni Bruins raving about the new coach of his former archenemy, but that's how the league goes these days!

Kudos to his honesty, as the Oilers will face the Habs tomorrow. We can guarantee Lucic will be all over the place!
