It is getting crowded in between the pipes in New York City as the Rangers are are currently carrying three goaltenders in Henrik Lundqvist, Alexandar Georgiev and Igor Shesterkin.

Lundqvist has been waiting on the side and finally commented on how he feels about the whole situation and his uncertain future in the NHL. Speaking to the New York Post, the veteran goalie kept repeating the same thing over and over…

“There’s a time we can talk about the experience,” Lundqvist told The Post. “But right now I just want to focus on working hard, and that’s it.”

“It’s challenging at times,” Lundqvist said. “You think a lot, for sure. You try to come back to just controlling what you can control and not overthinking it. When things are the way you want them to be, you think less. You just go out and play. So it’s been a lot of trying to analyze the situation, but I just try to work hard every day.”

Lundqvist has one more year left on his contract with an $8.5 million salary-cap hit, and he has a full no-movement clause. Many fans and pundits wonder if he will have had enough in a few days and decided to demand a trade out to a Cup contender.

While he wouldn’t answer that question, he stayed true to his first statement and maintained how hard he is willing to work.

“I just try to work hard every day. That’s my goal. And be ready,” Lundqvist said. “That’s that. I don’t have much more to say right now.”

Be ready? To play? For a trade? What’s next?
