Lundqvist just one win shy of historic record

New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist is now only one win shy of tying Glenn Hall for 9th on NHL’s all-time list. Lundqvist registered his 406th win (747 games played) Sunday night, when the Rangers won 2-1 against the Montreal Canadiens. Hall has 407 wins in 745 games played.

Lundqvist, 35, was drafted 205th overall by the Rangers back in 2000. He began his NHL career in 2005, and has only registered 30-win seasons since (he won 23 games in 2012-2013, because of the lockout that made the season begin on January 19th).
