Controversy in Game 7.

There is some serious controversy in Pittsburgh tonight, at least as far as the Ottawa Senators fan base will be concerned.

The Pittsburgh Penguins were given a power-play just a little over halfway through the third period of a critical Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Final, but there appears to be a consensus that Penguins forward Phil Kessel should have also been called on the play.

While it certainly did appear that Kessel was interfered with on the play, something that earned veteran defenseman Dion Phaneuf two minutes in the box, the broadcast crew appeared to agree that Kessel embellished on the play.

Instead the Penguins went on the power-play, something that quickly resulted in a goal from Justin Schultz.
