Did the professor go too far?

Both the Washington NFL franchise and the Chicago hockey team has a Native American name.

However, the Chicago Blackhawks have very often argued that their team name is not a generic racial stereotype. It honors a real person, Black Hawk. Despite this fact it appears a major controversy arised surrounding the Chicago Blackhawks jersey at a Minnesota University.

As reported by Joseph Myers from PM Magazine, "The matter commenced in mid-April, with Albrect returning to class in the controversy-causing homage to the Blackhawks following a pause in a screening of ‘Dakota 38.’ The film chronicles the Dec. 26 1862 hanging of 38 male Dakota tribe members in Minnesota and because of the sensitivity of the material, the growing disregard for the marketing of Native American-influenced gard and professor James Jacob's American Indian ancestry, the fashion choice spawned unrest, leading Albrecht to offer to turn it inside out once aware of the classroom's unease."
