Major roadblock on the trade market for the Sens!

When things go from bad to worse...

The good thing we can say about this report is that, at least, Ottawa Senators general manager Pierre Dorion is looking for answers to help his struggling club. The Sens only have one victory in their last nine games, and now is the time to turn things around or else the Canadian team will fall into a hole in the standings too deep to climb out of, and make the postseason, once again.

However, there is a major roadblock in the way for Dorion. According to Ottawa Sun's Bruce Garrioch, the Sens GM is now stuck looking for solutions within his club.

Only a few clubs are reportedly active on the trade market as of now, the Buffalo Sabres, Columbus Blue Jackets, Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks, and none of them appear to be good fits for the Senators at this point.

On top of that, Garrioch adds that few players are performing up to their full capabilities, which makes it even harder for Dorion to make the right call.

"At this point, [the right answers] are going to have to come from within."

The Sens are currently five points out of third in the Atlantic Division and nine points out of a wild-card spot, so there is still time to manage this obstacle.

And in the meantime, other teams might start placing players on the trade market and the Sens could find the right match then.
