Malkin and Shattenkirk drop the gloves on Tuesday night!

It's rare to see players of this level dropping the gloves with one another. 

On Tuesday night the frustration between Pittsburgh Penguins superstar forward Evgeni Malkin and New York Rangers star defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk boiled over for both men. 

As a result both Malkin and Shattenkirk dropped the gloves and began to throw heavy punches at one another, unfortunately for fans however the National Hockey League officials stepped in despite the fact that both men were clearly willing to throw down.

Both appeared to land some clean shots on the other, who do you think got the win and who do you think would have won if the officials didn't step in?
