One of the biggest stories of the playoffs ended up being the apparent animosity between Phil Kessel and Evgeni Malkin as both men could be seen voicing their frustrations at times on the Penguins bench.

Malkin was recently asked about this very controversy by Russian hockey reporter Igor Eronko of Sports-Express and his side of the story was very revealing to say the least.

According to Evgeni Malkin he's best partners with Phil Kessel however there was an issue at the time with other Penguins teammates. While Malking didn't specifically mention any names, he stated that at the time they were quarreling with their defensemen because they hadn't given them the puck in over two minutes.

Very interesting to hear Malkins side of things as his version of events vastly differs from how the media interpreted the anger on the Penguins bench.
