The Toronto Maple Leafs have had enough.

Late on Wednesday night, after losing 5-3 to the New York Rangers with backup goalie Michael Hutchinson in between the pipes, the Leafs acquired netminder Jack Campbell from the Los Angeles Kings. They also landed Kyle Clifford  for Trevor Moore, a third round pick (from Columbus) in 2020 and a conditional third round pick in 2021.

Campbell is 28 years old and has posted an 8-10-2 record with a 2.85 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage over 20 games in a backup role behind Jonathan Quick with the Kings this season. He was originally selected by the Dallas Stars 11th overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He joined the Kings in a trade back in June 2016.

Over 58 career games in the NHL, Campbell has a record of 20-25-5 with a 2.58 GAA and a 0.916 save percentage.

Clifford, 29, is also involved in the move, he who has six goals and eight assists over 53 games this season with the Kings. He has spent his entire 10-year career with the Kings after they picked him in the second round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. The veteran forward has 60 goals and 69 assists over 660 career games.

Moore, who on his way to L.A., has three goals and two assists over 27 games this season with the Maple Leafs, his second in Toronto. The 24-year-old has been plagued by injuries this season. He suffered a concussion on Dec. 21 against the Detroit Red Wings and has played just 27 games this season due to shoulder and concussion issues.

He was not in uniform tonight against the Rangers.
