The Toronto Maple Leads announced another signing on Thursday following the official signing of their first overall pick Auston Matthews.

This move once again demonstrated the Leafs commitment to a youth movement, signing forward Josh Leivo to a two-year deal, it's unclear at this time if this is a one-way or two-way deal.

Leivo is a relative unknown to most, having only appeared in 12 games for the Maple Leafs last season, but there's a belief that he will be a regular contributor at the National Hockey League level this season, and while it's no confirmation, a multi-year deal does seem to suggest the Leafs see some promise here. While he did only put up 5 points in those 12 games, all five of them were goals and he was a plus minus 2 over that stretch, certainly signs of promise.
