Despite a long playoff run with the Toronto Marlies, Josh Jooris is moving on from America and heading overseas.

The veteran forward signed a three-year contract with Lausanne HC in Switzerland, after inking a one-year  $650K deal with the Maple Leafs last summer. He however failed to play one game in the Leafs’ uniform and spent the entire time in the AHL.

The 28-year-old scored 55 points in his 213-game NHL career, including an impressive rookie season with the Calgary Flames.

He recorded eight goals and 15 points in 74 games with the Marlies, and added two assists in the postseason.

A new chapter for Jooris.
