The Columbus Blue Jackets sustained their first playoff loss last night when the fell 3-2 in overtime at the hands of the Boston Bruins and Brad Marchand does not care about rubbing salt in their wounds.

On Friday morning, as the Bruins jumped on the ice for practice, Marchand was asked about last night’s game and made some brutal comments on one of the Jackets’ forward, former Bruins member Riley Nash.

Nash ended up in Columbus last summer when he signed with the Jackets as a free agent in July after spending two years in Boston.

The 29-year-old centre has collected a goal and two points in five playoff games with Columbus, and ended up hurting David Krejci on a heavy hit last night.

Krejci is now considered day-to-day after leaving Thursday’s Game 1. His final shift ended with just over two minutes to play in the third period and he didn’t come out of the dressing room for overtime.

Marchand had something to tell his former teammate after the hit, hoping it would hurt as much as it did Krejci:

“I don’t think he had a hit in two years with us.”

No pity for his former teammate… Marchand is looking forward to Game 2, which takes place in Boston on Saturday night and we bet Nash will have heard about his comments.

He might have a few hits in store for Marchand tomorrow…
