The 2019-20 season has been underway for over two weeks and we were starting to wonder where the good old Brad Marchand was hiding. Well, the Boston Bruins pest’s true colours showed up on Thursday night in the dying seconds of overtime against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

With the score locked at 3, the clock ran out in overtime to lead the way for the shootout, however, Marchand wanted more time with the Lightning forwards. He got in Brayden Point’s face and ended up putting him in a headlock as players jumped into the mix to defend their teammate.

Check out the full OT, right here:

There were of course no penalty on the play and Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy decided to play with the Bolts’ minds, sending Marchand into the mix to get a shot on Andrei Vasilevskiy.

However, that backfired.

Marchand was stopped by the Lightning goalie and Vasilevskiy gave him a big smirk on his way out, payback for attacking Point.

We can’t wait for these two teams to meet again!
