Marchand slams concussion spotter in brutal way after game!

He wasn’t happy to be pulled out of the game and still wasn’t in the dressing room!

Brad Marchand did not mince his words.

There was a moment of panic in the Boston Bruins’ 3-2 overtime win over the New York Rangers on Friday when Marchand was forced to leave the game.

At the end of the second period, Marchand was hit to the head by Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba’s elbow. You can tell Marchand was quite shaken up by the hit as he headed back to the team’s bench.

Marchand came back for the third only to be forced out of the game. He was pulled from the game by a concussion spotter. The Bruins forward broke his stick in anger as he headed down the tunnel and left the game.

He did return, but after the game, Marchand slammed the concussion spotter for now calling for the protocol during the second intermission.

“That’s embarrassing. They had 20 minutes to sit there and view the tape and call that in … Guy up there is busy eating pizza and cheeseburgers and can’t watch the game. Maybe next time he’ll pull his head out of his butt.”

That’s quite the message. Maybe the NHL should have a word with their (freeloading) spotters after all…
