A new member of the Toronto Maple Leafs has just recorded his first goal and how sweet it must feel.

Former Detroit Red Wings defenseman Alexey Marchenko recorded his first National Hockey League goal since being waived by the Detroit Red Wings back at the beginning of February, and it came against his former team.

Marchenko scored in the opening minutes of the game with Red Wings goalie Petr Mrazek making a very nice save on the first scoring chance, but giving up a big juicy rebound that Marchenko pounced on for his first as a Leaf.
