Mark Streit is back, someone had to go.

We reported you earlier today that the Flyers would need to make a move in order to insert Mark Streit in the lineup. While we thought Ron Hextall would send down one of his assets that was waivers-exempted (Roman Lyubimov), the Flyers General manager decided to place Boyd Gordon on waivers.

Gordon is carrying a $950.000 cap hit and scored 1 goal for the season in 13 games. While Boyd's offensive production was almost non-existent, Dave Hakstol relied on Gordon to take important faceoffs in the defensive zone.

Hopefully nobody will claim him and he'll rejoin the Leigh Valley Phantoms organization.
