Fans were patiently waiting for the puck drop in Texas as the Stars were expected to host the visiting Toronto Marlies. It is however being reported that the game has been officially canceled.

Many reports suggest that the American Hockey League game between the Marlies and Stars has been canceled after one of Toronto’s coaches was rushed to the hospital.

It is believed to be a serious health matter seeing that both teams made the decision to cancel the contest.

The Marlies later confirmed that assistant coach Rob Davison experienced a medical emergency. The team asked for the game to be postponed as the players were shaken up.

They face the Stars again tomorrow night. Here is the statement from the Maple Leafs and GM Kyle Dubas

Davison, who is just 39 years, is now at the hospital. We send him our best!
