Playoff hockey is just another level of intensity.

The postseason is on the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and tempers were red hot in a game between the North Bay Battalion and Niagara Ice Dogs during the fourth game of the series.

With Niagara moving up 2-1 in the series, the stakes were high for Game 4 and things boiled over...

In the Ice Dogs crease, goaltender Stephen Dhillon felt a little crowed as Battalion forward Daniel Walker stood a little too close. It seems that  Dhillon decided to get his stick up in between the legs of Walker, setting Walker off who starting punching the goalie with no mercy.

As the rest of the players on the ice weren't really sure what was happening, they all rushed over to defend their respective teammate and things got out of hand fast:

Things even got out of hand on the teams' social media accounts:

The teams combined for 48 minutes in penalties in the game. The Ice Dogs ended up winning the pivotal Game 4 and now have a lead of 3-1 in the series as the Battalion is on the brink of elimination. Niagara won four of six games in head-to-head play versus North Bay during the regular season.

Game 5 is tonight.
