What may be the NHL's biggest trade rumor involves the league's biggest man.

According to reporter/ analyst Jimmy Murphy of Murphy's Law, two NHL teams have expressed interest in Boston Bruins' defenseman Zdeno Chara. Asper sources close to the situation, both the Los Angeles Kings and Chicago Blackhawks have reached out to the Bruins in regards to the behemoth D-man. The report indicates that the Bruins are fielding offers for their longtime captain.

The Bruins are reportedly "listening" to calls from both teams for the 39 year old veteran, who could waive his no-trade clause in order to join a contender.

Chara has one more year left on his contract, with a cap hit of just under $7 million for this season, and $4 million for next year. Either team would need to be able to accommodate that number under their cap.

It is unknown what either team might offer for 'Z', but with the Bruins sporting a record of 6-1 under new head coach Bruce Cassidy, the return could prove fruitful for a team that has missed the playoffs in consecutive seasons.

This could be a blockbuster waiting to happen.
