Matthews skates with Leafs for first time since injury

According to a report from Lance Hornby of The Toronto Sun, injured Toronto Maple Leafs star Auston Matthews rejoined his team for practice today for the first time since suffering a shoulder injury more than two weeks ago.

Matthews hasn’t played since injuring his shoulder on a Jacob Trouba hit early in a 3-2 Maple Leafs win over the Winnipeg Jets on Oct. 27. The Leafs superstar did not take part in line rushes while his teammates prepared for tonight’s showdown against the San Jose Sharks, but he did participate in some team drills.

There’s still no exact timetable for Matthews’ return, but Leafs fans have to feel good about this latest development.
