Auston Matthews is having a rookie season one cannot forget. He made history in his NHL debut, when he became the first player to ever score 4 goals in his first game.

The American born player just established himself as one of the Maple Leafs greatest rookies in tonight’s game against the Buffalo Sabres. By picking up his 34th goal of the season, Matthews tied an old mark held by Wendel Clark from the 1985-1986 season, for the most goals in a season by a rookie.

The 19 years old center currently has 34 goals and 27 assists for 61 points in 74 games.
