Even though Max Pacioretty has had a bunch of scoring opportunity, he was only able to score one goal in four games. But we may have an explanation on why he didn't perform as well as he should have. According to Canadian Press' Michel Lamarche, Pacioretty was distracted because of off-ice issues.

The journalist mentioned that Patch's mother was forced to head down to Santa Rosa, California to help evacuate his grand-parents who presumably have been put at risk as a result of the wildfires.

He told the journalists he would much rather talk about his team's poor performances than his family's problems, and that there are things much more important in life than hockey.

We wish him and his family all the best.
