McDavid has been wrong all along!

Many people would easily say Connor McDavid is one of the best, or the best NHL player in the world. And some people might be intimated by that - but a rink employee surely wasn't when she told the superstar forward he had been wrong all along. 

According to NHL.com, McDavid, brother Cam, and a friend went to skate on Boston Common’s Frog Pond last Saturday when the Oilers were in town for a Sunday game against the Bruins. The three were trying to rent skates at the rink, when an employee let McDavid know that he was asking for the wrong skate size.

“The lady was trying to give me some advice on what size I should go with,” McDavid said to NHL.com. 

“I went with it. I wasn’t going to argue with her.”

The Oilers have not been great this season, so maybe fans will say McDavid should listen to the rink employee and change his skates... But McDavid argues that the fit recommended to him, surprisingly, wasn’t right.

“The skates were a little big, but they did the trick,” he said.
