McDavid reveals his ultimate weakness to NHL insider

Forget about what you thought of NHL superstar Connor McDavid: the Edmonton Oilers captain is not perfect. 

The 20-year-old might already have three goals in just one contest this season, he believes he needs to adjust a side of his game to score more goals. It does not matter if the great Jaromir Jagr thinks he is the best player who will record 100 goals, McDavid revealed his weakness to TSN's Frank Seravalli and we are pretty sure rivals clubs and goaltenders are listening. 

McDavid has been studying rivals players like Toronto Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews, San Jose Sharks' Joe Palveski and Pittsburgh Penguins' Sidney Crosby, and he realized how they have an edge on him. The Oilers captain pointed to Matthews’ third period deflection in Winnipeg on Wednesday night as the perfect goal and pointed out that he hadn’t scored on one deflection since his first NHL goal in 2015.

“Like zero,” McDavid said to Seravalli. 

McDavid even went on to say that he should make up ground by capitalizing on  rebound goals around the crease – where Crosby makes a difference. 

“He’s always in the right spot at the right time,” McDavid said. “The puck seems to sit there, but it’s not by accident. It’s not a coincidence. It’s something that he’s doing. It’s something that I want to do.”

“Look, 17 rebounds,” McDavid said, pointing at Crosby's stats. “That’s pretty remarkable. He’s always in the right spot.”

Hopefully for Oilers fans, McDavid has already found a way to score those goals and improve his weakness, and that his secret can be safe for now. But we are pretty sure NHL rival teams have been taking notes...
