McKenzie: “Credible threat” to NHL head coach's job.

There rumors surrounding the future of head coach Claude Julien have been loud this week and have all pointed to a very short future indeed.

If you happened to be one of those who didn't think Bruins management would go through with it you may want to reconsider that position after hearing the latest from TSN insider Bob McKenzie.

"I think we can at the very least call this a credible threat to Claude Julien's job security with the Boston Bruins," said McKenzie on Thursday.

It's a move that has confused many who have a great deal of respect for Julien who is one of the longest tenured head coaches in the NHL with a decade behind the Bruins bench. It appears however that the issue here is a conflict between management and Julien.

"So often when coaches are on thin ice or we call it the hot seat a lot of it is fan and media driven, but in this particular instance there seems to be a palpable disconnect between the Boston Bruin hierarchy, both in terms of words and actions, and there head coach Claude Julien."

If he is fired he won't be looking for a job very long.
