McPhee absolutely insults Shipachyov

With Vadim Shipachyov effectively retiring from the NHL and reporting back to the KHL, Vegas Golden Knights general manager George McPhee has spoken out about this failed experiment.

He did not mince words.

Media pundits have been criticizing McPhee following those comments, wondering what could have possibly led him to sign the player in the first place.

With the amount of time McPhee had to scout out players and evaluate talent, how could he have offered that kind of money to an "AHL-level" player?

Shipachyov managed one goal in the three games he played with Vegas.
