McTavish joins elite company with 4 goal performance over Slovakia

Yesterday evening team Canada made an bold statement in their second game of the World Junior Championships. 

After getting by Latvia 5-2 in their tournament opener on Wednesday, the Canadians absolute tore the lid off things in game 2 with a dominating 11-1 win over Slovakia. Anaheim Ducks prospect Mason McTavish tied a Canadian record with 4 goals on the night and superstar in the making Connor Bedard showed the hockey world why he's the projected #1 overall pick for next year's draft.

I mean... just look at this wizardry:

What an absolute stud. Who goes through Slovakia like they're wet tissue paper.

Canada now improves to 2-0 on the tournament, with their first real test coming tomorrow against Czechia. You can better your last bottom dollar that Bedard will have an impact in that game and for the duration of this tournament.

As for McTavish, he joins the likes of Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux as players who have potted six points for Canada in a World Juniors game.
