Completely blind-sides him.

Methot sends Trocheck airborne with a dangerous hit.

While this hit certainly looked great, the fact that it was away from the play and delivered to a blind-sided opponent definitely takes away from it.

It's hard to justify exactly what Ottawa Senators defenseman Marc Methot was thinking when he delivered this hit on Florida Panther Vincent Trocheck, if only because Trocheck never played the puck.

In Methot's defense, I don't believe he was attempting to injure Trocheck, and thankfully Trocheck although he appeared to be a little sore wasn't badly hurt. However Trocheck never saw him coming, because he shouldn't be expecting a hit in that situation, and that kind of very dangerous play could of had a much more severe result.
