Toronto Maple Leafs' head coach apparently isn't a big fan of armchair coaching.

On Thursday Babcock was once again pressed by the Toronto media about the possibility of swapping Leafs forward Zach Hyman off the first line in order to make room for newly signed veteran forward Patrick Marleau. Babcock however was sick of hearing about the rumored swap, one that has seemingly come entirely from the media.

"I'm not dumb," said Babcock as per The Athletic's Jonas Siegel.  "That's what I read - that you guys want. But here's what I'm going to do, I'm going to coach the team and you guys are going to write the articles."

Babcock has long been a big fan of Hyman and it seems like he is sick and tired of hearing the media cast doubts about the future role of his young center on the Maple Leafs.
