In case you missed it last night, Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart made 23 saves en route to his first career Stanley Cup Playoff shutout and a 2-1 series lead over the Montreal Canadiens.

The 22 year old netminder looked incredible yesterday evening and showed the type of resiliency that has quickly become the hallmark of his game in his young career. Despite getting absolutely shelled for four goals and getting the hook in Game 2, Hart looked unflappable in Game 3. The kid plays the game like a 10+ year veteran and has the type of mental resolve that separates very good goaltenders from the true, true elite. For Hart though, it was just another day at the office.

"Just got to do my job," said Hart, who grew up idolizing Canadiens goaltender Carey Price. "That's what it comes down to at the end of the day."

Price, for what it's worth is impressed with what Hart has shown in this series so far. "Their goaltender played well," Price said after last night's loss. "Sometimes you gotta tip your hat to a hot goaltender. We did all the right things to win."

You know who wasn't impressed by Hart though? NBC analyst Mike Milbury. Despite unanimous selection as the game's #1 star, Milbury, never one to shy away from a ridiculous hot take, relegated Hart to #3 star status for "playing with fire."

Check it out:

Seriously, Carter... you gotta contribute more, bud. Posting a shutty and all is well and good, but can you put in some shifts on the PP? Maybe join the rush every once in a while you lazy scrub...

In all seriousness, this is just another ridiculous hot take from a guy who has seemingly made a career out of ridiculous hot takes. This is the guy who called the CN Tower the Space Needle last week and he is bemoaning the fact that Tuukka Rask left the Boston Bruins to be with his newborn daughter and wife. At this point, Milbury is little more than hot air. He so desperately wants to reach some sort of Don Cherry-like status, but he's at best a C-Level Grapes. Can we get someone new on NBC already?
