In a game where both teams did not register 20 shots, the Wild took full advantage of their chances. It was their 6th win in a row and this winning streak could not have come at a better time.

Minnesota once again seems to have made the right move at the right time. Last season it was acquiring Devan Dubnyk, who was quite good again tonight. This season it was the coaching change. Coach Torchetti brought a new energy to the team and everyone seems dialed in. Making the right moves at the right moments can make or break a team during the season, and the Wild seem to have the knack to push the right button at the right time these past 2 seasons. There are obviously other factors in all of this but we can say Dubnyk saved the Wild's season last year and what John Torchetti has gotten out of the Wild since he has been behind the bench has been huge as well.

With the win, Minnesota has 87 points. They are now up by 5 points on Colorado. The Wild got some help with St.Louis beating the Avs tonight. So now Minnesota and Colorado have 5 games left each and the Wild have a nice little cushion now. Let's hope the boys can keep it going and clinch that final wild card spot!
