Minnesota Wild and Florida Panthers pull off a minor trade.

It is the quietest time of the year if you are a fan of the National Hockey League. This is usually the time of year that even the most hard working general managers in the National Hockey League step away to take a few weeks for themselves and for their families, but that does not mean that the organizations themselves are not still hard at work.

The proof is in the pudding and according to a report from the Minnesota Wild's official social media, the organization has just pulled off a relatively minor trade with the Florida Panthers. The Minnesota Wild are reporting that they have sent defenseman Gustav Bouramman to the Florida Panthers in exchange for "future considerations," aka everyone's favorite player. Obviously whenever future considerations are mentioned in a trade deal we are talking about a very minor trade, and this deal is no exception.

Gustav Bouramman is a former Minnesota Wild 7th round draft pick (201st overall) at the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and currently has no National Hockey League experience under his belt. The 22 year old Swedish born defenseman has instead spent the majority of his time in the ECHL as a member of the Rapid City Rush since being drafted, although he did also get a look with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League. In his most recent season Bouramman appeared in 23 games for the AHL Wild and recorded no goals and 2 assists for a total of 2 points over that stretch. He also collected 6 penalty minutes and finished with a plus rating of -5 on the season.

It seems rather likely that Bouramman will also be spending the vast majority of his time next season in the AHL or ECHL following his trade to the Florida Panthers organization.
