Minnesota Wild roster for the season opener against Detroit.

The Minnesota Wild are set to face off against the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday night and while their roster will be nearly at full strength, one rather important name has not made the list. 

Sitting on the sidelines playing cheerleader will be none other than often-injured Minnesota Wild star forward Zach Parise. While Parise's absence will come as no surprise given the fact that he continues to struggle with back issues, it will still come as a disappointment to Wild fans who have seen him injured far too often in recent years. 

With that in mind here is how the rest of the Wild's line up is set to look like tonight as per Daily Faceoff:

2nd line: Jason Zucker - Mikko Koivu - Mikael Grandlund
