The Chicago Blackhawks ended a three-game losing streak on Thursday, getting the 4-3 overtime win over the Boston Bruins, who were looking to stay hot at home.

While the Bruins ended up losing, fans can be relieved that the team didn’t lose its top player David Pastrnak in third period of the game.

The Bruins’ leading scorer was hit by Hawks’ Zack Smith and did not appreciate the move. He wasn’t the only one! Teammate John Moore quickly jumped to his defense, however… he failed to make a statement.

Captain Zdeno Chara even circled back to Smith after the fight to have a word with Smith, maybe to get better results.

Moore was quickly put down by Smith before leaving the ice to head to the dressing room.

We are sure Moore would have preferred to look better in this fight, but we have to admit that it might have sparked the Bruins. Boston scored two goals before the end of regulation to tie the game up and push it to overtime.

Despite the loss, Bruins fans are certainly relieved Pastrnak remains healthy and Moore did what he could to protect his teammate and spark his team.
